I’ve gotten to know Justen and Eric through our NAHB Builder 20 group, where we work together as peers in the homebuilding industry. They are the real deal! What stands out to me is how much thought they put into the bigger picture of building — not just the house, but the neighborhood, the streetscape, and the long-term feel of the community. Their work reflects the same things they seem to value as people: care, professionalism, humility, and pride in the craft. As a fellow builder, I have a lot of respect for the way Justen and Eric approach their work. Monmouth and the Willamette Valley are lucky to have Olsen Communities.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience building with Olsen Communities! From our very first meeting with Eric and the Eve Olsen, we knew we were in excellent hands. They took the time to walk us through every detail — from choosing the perfect lot to refining our home’s layout and design — ensuring every decision truly reflected how we wanted to live. Their professionalism, patience, and positivity never wavered, even when we hit that inevitable “decision fatigue.” They made an otherwise overwhelming process feel exciting and manageable. Cody was another standout — always ensuring that our ideas and design choices were both beautiful and practical. During our many walkthroughs, he took the time to explain everything clearly and thoughtfully, making sure we fully understood the process at every stage. The entire Olsen Communities team went above and beyond to create not just a house, but our dream home. Their dedication, communication, and genuine care for their clients shine through in every detail. We are beyond grateful and couldn’t recommend them more highly!

We had our dream home built in the Fairview Addition last year, and it was a fantastic experience. The design experience was very personal and incorporated our lifestyles. We did not feel overwhelmed with choices and everything was presented in a very transparent and honest manner so we were never surprised about the cost of anything. Most of all, the follow up now that we are in our home has been great and the response has been quick. We love the neighborhood and the entire process has been incredibly positive and fun. Olsen truly seems to care about every detail and the satisfaction of their clients.

My wife and I built our home with Olsen Communities in their Monmouth development and it was an incredible experience! After selecting the lot, we got into the exciting phase of designing our floor plan which was totally custom to our family’s needs, we got to work closely with their whole team on all of our finishes and we were given the opportunity to interface directly with their suppliers to choose everything we wanted for the house. Their internal process was fantastic! We were included on their builder software so we could see our budget, progress and were able to communicate through the software. Not only are we so, so happy with our build but we consider everyone on their team to be a friend at this point. If you have been considering a custom home build— whether it’s in one of their developments, or if it’s on a lot that you have selected— we highly recommend working with the Olsen team.

It was a long time dream to build our own home and Olsen Communities was our ideal builder. We were an active part of the process and they took the time to get to know who we are so that our home would reflect that. They helped us identify what we could accomplish with our budget and they were completely investing in making us happy.
